In desperation more than I had a case of frozen kippers shipped from a company on the east coast, not really expecting anything special, but they are amazing. Shipped in a polystyrene box filled with dry ice, thawed and cooked in foil on the barbecue with a little butter – amazing. Kind of expensive but worth it.
